These amazing turkey burgers are brought to you by a facebook post from Bridgett Baker Zerbach. She is new to THM and came up with this delicious recipe and with her permission, I share it with you! Thanks Bridgett! I added the faux-tato salad to it to a make a well rounded dinner!
So we have tried lots of on plan cookies... many sadly, went straight to the garbage can... My husband LOVES cookies! Any time I ask him to request a dessert because I need an excuse to bake... he ask for cookies. A simple traditional chocolate chip cookie. After my many trials of different recipes, and on the heels of a THM friend request to blog about some on plan cookies (thank you Maria!), I present these gems, I think this might be as close to an off plan cookie as we may ever see... but of course, I will keep trying new recipes.
If you're trying to get your husband on the Trim Healthy mama plan, your best shot is Cheeseburger Pie! This little gem is in the book, page 326 and I would dare to say it is my husband's favorite on plan meal. When I started THM in July 2013, he was very skeptical of this way of eating. He had lost a little bit of weight at the time like me, and thought that was as good as it would get. Well, fast forward 1.5 years to now, he is the slimmest and trimmest he has ever been since I met him over 8 years ago. He just turned 30 recently and he swears by THM now. He speaks the S and E language and we;re in this together. Thank you Cheeseburger Pie!
Tonight's Dinner was a delightfully easy but very tasty plate of Mahi Mahi!
It started with whole grain dijon mustard being painted on the fish (a perfect job for my 2 year old... who is "painting" the fish in the picture):
Taco Salad is one of my favorite "I don't know what to make for dinner" dinners. We like ours S style, but it can easily be adapted to be an E.
I made an amazing butter chicken dish tonight for dinner. It started by marinating chicken breast in Greek yogurt, ginger, garlic , and tandoori spice.
I am a 27 year old wife & Mommy.
